Game Description
Astro Invaders takes throwback shoot 'em up play and blasts it into the future in this 3D sequel to a true gaming classic. In the year 3187, battle to save our solar system from space pirates in gameplay that picks up where the legendary 2D rock-shooter Asteriods left off. Only this time, the things you're shooting at shoot back! Blast 18 types of enemy ships with missiles and lasers as you fight through eight four-section levels, giving you 32 total stages to conquer. Unlock new weapons, new special attacks, a new ship, and, if you survive the game on the Hard setting, take a crack at Impossible.

This was recommended to me by Gamefly, and I couldn't find any other reviews on it, so I gave it a chance. After all, it said "6 out of 10" with 5 ratings when I rented it.
