i seriously don't see why this would get a 7.7 by IGN. sure the script is repetitive, but it is a well created game, maybe its a 9 because of that, and the time it takes to get from X to Y. this game is a game i would buy, not rent, because it just, it.
First of all I want to say that this game deserves a 9.5. I absolutely love this game.
Lets get the bad things out of he way. The camera angles can be annoying, but not often. the control scheme does take some getting used to. Also the game does get repetitious, but it is still very fun to do the missions.
Other than that this game is amazing. Once you get a handle on the controls they work really well. the graphics are superb. The open-endedness of the game give endless possibilities. This is a must buy game.
Most games I don't play until friends are over, but A.C. was different. If you like Hitman, and Oblivion, mix the two. The story is great, it should be a surprise for you when you rent/buy it.
Graphics: 10(HD) 9.8(Regular) The graphics are crisp on any T.V. you play it on, whether it be HD or not. The shadowing is nice, and the cities are gorgeous, when climbing the foot holds, etc. don't look forced, it all looks natural.
Sound: The music is nice, but you don't pay much attention to it, and the voice acting could have some brushing up, but what games don't?
Gameplay: The story is awesome, the climbing, the assassinating, the escaping, all the main necessities of this game are outstanding.
Replay Value: One of the only games I'll get up and play with friends coming over, if that says anything.
