I have loved this series since it started and I have to say that as much as I wanted to love this game I can't. I don't even care what happens anymore. I just wanted to go and kill evil tyrants like the other games but that has been distorted now. They don't leave you any evil leaders to hate. I wanted to love this game but I'll be sending it back unifinished.
Assassins Creed Revelations has a great continuing story from previous games. the combat and game play has remained mostly unchanged with a few alterations. One of the most notable is the new bomb crafting for combat and diversions. What really takes the fun out of the game for me is the constant annoyance of "DEN BATTLES" and notoriety. the absolute simplest things make you notorious, and now its MUCH, MUCH more difficult to lose notoriety. Sure you can bribe Heralds..... but they are very hard to find and you only lose 25% of your notoriety.... the so called "Rats" or the guys you kill to lower notoriety are even harder to find.... also forget about pulling down posters, because there arent any. on top of all that if you are spotted even once by templars while you are notorious they attack one of your "Dens" and you have to go fight for it... (GOOD LUCK WINNING DEN BATTLES, AS THEY MAKE IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN) this constant fight for control over dens is distracting and annoying and take away from trying to progress through the actual game.... (dens take the place of Borgia towers from Brotherhood, just to clear this up) apart from the whole den wars the game is pretty good, just be prepared to be constantly ticked over the den conflicts getting in the way.

I've played most of the Assassins Creed series and i have to say, this one impressed me, A LOT. Really like the new bomb making, havent even gotten to the multiplayer so caught in singleplayer. I get bored of single player games really fast, like i'll play final fantasy for 2 hours and then get bored. but i swear i must have like 10 hours already locked on to this. Great game, worth a buy or rent the rest of the series if you havent yet. 10/10
