ACIII is not only my favorite AC game released, but is easily one of the best games I have ever played. From the historically accurate details to the improved battle system and the most in-depth, meaningful story so far, I urge everyone to give this game a shot. I had some of my good friends try the game (some who had never played any of the AC games) and even from a few hours of gameplay, loved it so much that they had to get it themselves. Truly remarakble game making.
game looks great.... I can't deny that all of the ac games look amazing. The scenery and cityscapes are incredible and the living city elements are always great. That being said I feel like many of the things I hated from other games came back in different ways. I really have no interest in driving a boat or developing my homestead or joining clubs... I honestly play the game to get to the story which is so convoluted at this point that I don't even know what is going on anymore. It's worth a rent if for nothing more than how good it looks but beyond that I felt myself more annoyed than pleased. I just wanted to get the game over with.
Didnt get drawn in to this franchise until brotherhood so keep that in mind. This game has the slowest beginning I have ever seen. Once you do get to the main game there are a few cool new additions like hunting (gets old after a bit though). The best and coolest thing in this game is the privateer missions. The graphics and geometries are off the chain! Coolest sea battle engine I have EVER seen! Worth a rent and maybe a buy after a significant price drop. Will however make you want to scream at all the failed pirate and sea battle games since video games came out since they have done such an amazing job! Looking forward to more of it in AC4.
