I am usually forgiving of inaccuracies when creative license is allowed; however, there are some very disturbing errors in this game. For example, the Boston Tea Party was not a major battle as it is in the game.
The game has some other annoyances too. First, almost every viewpoint is exactly the same building. The designers left out any real challenge when it comes to climbing, and the guards are nearly impossible to escape without a fight.
Graphics are good for this gen, and voice acting is acceptable. It is much harder to get into this character. He is no Altair or Ezio, and the storyline seems to fall flat.
The game seems artificially extended by the vast expanse of the frontier. This area is huge, and mostly void of any actions beyond hunting. Fortunately you can fast travel.
This game may break the series, unless you are an absolutely die hard AC fan. Otherwise, skip it and try the next one.
this game had me frustrated throughout the game. You would think that being the 5th Assassin's Creed game that the developers knew what they were doing, WRONG. Its seems that devs built a great sandbox city of boston, new york, the frontier and the other parts of the game and said "well since we filled it with so much stuff to do everyones gonna love it". Free running was the stupidest part of the game. I got stuck on small hills, rocks, windows, everything and while on the horse everything was worse. They could have made a great game, refined it and focused on the mainstays of Assassin's Creed but by filling it with so much stuff, like crafting, assassin recruit missions, underground tunnels and caravans (the naval missions are pretty cool but unpolished) they left the basic controls of the game like free running, camera issues and climbing onto the next tree branch and turned it into a painful game to play. Dont get me wrong, its not all the time but when your free running and you get stuck, UGH how frustrating is it to get what your known for wrong.
