I played ac3 to the end
The pros: your iconic weapon is an ax with the ac logo being the ax blade
You can free climb and run through trees in coolness
You have a gadget of a knife tied to rope that while on a tree you can toss into the back of an enemy and as you just don't he is pulled up in aswomeness
Instead of knocking down towers to get assassins you do a series of mini missions to get assassins
The assassins 1 dont magicly just jump out of the nearest hay stack and backstab an enemy but instead they each have a talent (sniper gunner fighter) 2 if your looking for charactizatiom you can go in a bar and talk to an assassin who tells you there story
The controls work better now
You can sail a large ship to do battles with
There are some unique story parts like when you are accused of being a counterfeiter as you get hang you mentor cuts the rope so your neck doesn't break and after you touch the ground you kill a few enimies who are tring to kill George Washington

The cons

The game is a bit to realistic on mechanics
In areas were snow is thick your character chugs on speed
After looking at all the view points you atill have to run around like an idot to fill in the map
Fast travel makes you run through maze tunnels to open doors for FTP

I anticipated this title quite a bit and after having a go at it I can say...meh. A natural progression from AC1 & 2 in a new world.
The assassin (Connor) is not as interesting or vibrant as Altair or Ezio. The world is also not as interesting as previous locales. Pretty much more of the same gameplay as found before, slightly clunky but not horrible. Having already played AC4 I know it gets more streamlined.
If I had to rate the main AC titles it would go like this: AC4, AC2, AC3 & 1 (tied).
What else can I say, if you like 1 & 2 then 3 is fine, nothing mindblowing but not regretable either. Just, meh.
