Only played into sequence 6 but this game is worth every penny spent. The combat is silky smooth compared to the previous titles and very easy to master the basics. As for the naval battles at sea... wow. They're simply breath taking. Also I'm enjoying this game on a 3D tv which just makes it look all that more sexy. Enjoy gamers and don't let this title pass you by.
Reminds me of how the controls in AC1 were so horrible, they did improve with every title thereafter...so what the effff happened here????? were you guys too much in rush to get it out ? needs patch to fix.. or going forward PUT THE CONTROLS THEY WAY THEY WORKED in II, Brotherhood, Revelations !!! and NEVER put these controls on any future game!!
Otherwise great game..cant wait to reach the ending so many are giving a raspberry about.
While AC Brotherhood is still my most favorite single-player experience in the AC series, this one has taken second place (The few minor bugs are really what make the difference, if with later patches these issues can be ironed out this could easily be the best in the series). The new combat system is fun and engaging (the removal of medicine to give the AC1 feel of 'Sync not Health' is a nice touch). The main story is very intriguing with more than a few plot twists (Yes ,even the Desmond sequences were well done, especially the Abstergo part). The sidequests and miscelaneous things like hunting, naval missions (I didn't think i'd like them but they were actually very fun), and homesteading add a lot to keep you busy long after finishing the main campaign. Overall, this game is excellent, with the exception of a few minor bugs that can be overlooked.
+Fun engaging combat system.
+Lots to do.
-A few minor bugs.
