I didnt realize you had to travel everywhere and watch cutscenes every three steps. The freerunning is really touchy too. Pretty weak overall. Not very entertaining, but I havent played any other games in the series so who knows. Maybe I'm missing something.
Now let me be clear, Assassins Creed 3 is an amazing game, however it can wear you out before you have a chance to finish it. In the beginning of the game you play as the father of Connor, Haytham. Now while there's nothing wrong with that, this whole experience endures as a linear tutorial spanning half the game. Speaking of tutorials when you finally do get to the point where you play as everyone's favorite Half-breed assassin, you must experience yet another tutorial sequence. Now i personally did not mind this, however many other gamer's experiences have been known to be deterred by this. However what did bug me was the game's sheer amount of content, which can get repetitive after a few hours of tree climbing, which to mention is little more varied of the kill-collect systems of something like World of Warcraft (actually now to think of it i slightly preferred WoW to Assassin's Creed 3). Despite what my previous rant may suggest, i still did like Assasin's Creed, the hunting and Naval combat offered the most fun ive had from a game in a long time and both are complimented by Assassin's Creed's gorgeous graphics.
