This game carries all the elements of Assassin's Creed II with a couple of new tricks. The many recruit help options are fun to play with. The attack combos are awesome and well timed. However, while the game resembles Assassin's II, it doesn't have the pulling story line and gameplay. This game gets repetitive relatively quick with next to infinite side missions. The new trade element was confusing and seemingly worthless. The controls can get very frustration while Connor wants to grab on to everything. Fell out of many trees to some clumsy camera angles. Its definitely worth a play through but not worth a purchase. Thank goodness for Gamefly with this title.
After investing so much time in Desmond's story, the ending and plot to wrap it up is beyond weak. The load screens just to run a cut scene and then go back to another load screen is a prime example of poor planning on the developers part. With some of the game play involving just running to the next cut scene. I was very disappointed in AC3. DO NOT BUY, just rent this one. The multiplayer is not enough of a leap to make up for the rest of the huge fail in the single player.
