AC3 was a great addition to the assassin's creed franchise. If you like any of the other ACs then you will definitely enjoy this one. The graphics are pretty good and the open world of this game was amazing. If you don't know where you are going you will most definitely get lost in the frontier. the multiplayer in this game was as usual very fun. But I don't think that a domination game mode was necessary at all for a non-shooter type game. It's still fun but I felt it was largely unneeded. Overall this game was really quite fun.
I didn't finish this game. That to me sucks, because I've finished all the AC games past AC2. Now, because I didn't finish it, my rating might not be as accurate as someone who did.
If I wanted to go hunting, I wouldn't be playing an AC game. Too much effort for too little a profit. Speaking of profit, there was some sort of stock exchange thing slapped in there. With stock, shipping fees, trading. I mean, come on. AC2 with it's city management was cool (but I didn't pay it much mind), but who wants to do that kind of stuff in a AC game?
So, I killed a few guards after saving to have some fun. It's hard to do that now because every single guard has a GUN. You're supposed to use a human shield, but good luck with that, because I believe the human shield button was the same as the JUMP BUTTON. WHY?
And ships. Ships. A new gameplay mechanic that has absolutely nothing to do with Assassin's. Yar. I'm a pirate. (Oh, hey AC4. How ya doin'?)
I didn't really use ships much, but I just can't get over how much stuff there is that has nothing to do with Assassin's. Like AC:R's tower defense mode.
Anyway, the point is they went way of course with this game. This isn't a real review as much as it is just me complaining about the most eye-catching problems. If you want the Pros and Cons, read someone else's review.
