The game is very enjoyable with all the acrobatics and interesting assassinations, but the game lacks mystery. the story line is poor but you do not get the sense of an assassin because you understand the character he become a partner then a mystery assassin.
Well the first AC had you play through an incredibly structured story sequence > AC2 is not like that. It is completely free-roam EVEN when your playing a mission. Secondly, its as if the creators went to every AC forum board on the web and looked at all the complaints about AC and said "hey, we can fix that!". Repeditivness? gone. long cutscenes? gone. They fixed almost every problem that people had with AC. While the game does have flaws, i for one agree that enzio moves a little slower than altier, he climbs much faster and his action sequences are much improved. Come on, any game were i can purposly put away my sword, punch a guy, take his sword from him, and stab him through the chest with it is good enough for me! believe me even if you hated the first game, buy AC2. Hey there are even some RPG elements thrown in there for all you crazy final fantasy fans!
The title says it all. The gameplay is incredible, you have a much larger arsenal of weapons such as the poison blade and hidden gun. the enviroments are just as you would expect. you can choose which city you want to kill in. a new improvement is that you can buy armor, dye your clothes, and buy new weapons. you also on your very own city which you can re-model. it starts out run-down but after you fully complete it, it looks beautiful.
However the game does have its fair share of flaws. the game for me constantly freezes and makes me want to kill myself. the game's ending also went where it never should have. if you beat the game you'll see what I mean.
overall I think its a great game for people who like their fair share if blood. not a perfect game but it is great.
