I don't know why these games haven't gained more of a following....the Co-op gameplay is AWESOME. Probably the best co-op gameplay of any franchise. With this one, they added Overkill (great addition) and took away the "heavies," which were sort of Mario Brothers-y and thusly annoying. I think this is the best AoT game yet. The most often criticism is the "lack of story." Really? Not every game needs a story line as stupidly complex as Halo. IMO, 5 minute cut scenes get tedious. The story line is 2 fist bumping bro-mancing dudes go apeshit on some badguys...its like an interactive Die Hard-meets-Escape from L.A. It is quite awesome. I honestly don't care about why the cartel is doing what they are doing...I just want to kill them in assorted spectacular ways, which does not require knowing every baddie's life history. But, JMO, I thought this one had a pretty good "twist" at the end. Also the enemy AI is really quite intelligent (unless you're playing it on easy....?). They will flank you every chance they get, and if you're standing by your partner you WILL get grenaded. I also don't understand why people have such a hard time with taking cover...its pretty much the same thing as Gears. Once you get used to it its actually quite seamless. If you want a non-stop action game with a cool 90s action movie feel, sit down with your significant other or buddy and play this game...you won't be disappointed.
I gave this game an 8. This is because it was a great third person action packed shooter. The only flaws I could think of with this game is that, there is not much diversity of find her, kill that guy, and recover this intel. Although it was not all that fulfilling story wise this is still a great game. With a very exiting ending.
