As stated by many others, the cover and control system takes some getting used to. Otherwise its a fairly straightforward but uninteresting shooter. It's more or less the same, over and over again. Not the interesting game play of the first two. It should have and could have been much better.

Loved the game, story is predictable but still very good. Weapons upgrades make sense unlike the last one and it feels like your shooting much more than the others. game play is smooth and interface is easy to work with. Overall an very good game

Well, I couldn't even finish it. I don't really have anything good to say about it except that it works and it has acceptable cover destruction considering its engine. The whole game feels like it was rushed or that it's plain unfinished. They're using the Frostbite 2 engine and yet they only used it for parts of the environment, and the graphics are mediocre at best. That's just part of the problem.
I was playing it with a friend and we could feel it in our souls as the game started. You know what, I'll just give some of it in a list.
Cliche and bad story (predicted exactly what would happen within the first mission), horrible A.I., less executions from the 2nd game, the playable characters aren't even cool like in the other games, Rios and Salem now look like a junkie and sloth from the goonies, the aiming is a sticky but you get used to it, after a little while we felt like we were playing the same mission over and over again and I really can't stress enough how bad the story is. The story feels like it was something they were really trying to hold off and then finally got around to doing it in one day.. One last thing I could say is that some of the cut scenes are kind of hard to watch in the sense that almost every time an explosion happens our characters should be dead, yeah I know it's a video game but watching these guys get hit with cars exploding and grenades/rockets repeatedly throughout the game and then (the part we stopped at) using a charge of C4 to kind of "grenade jump" from one car to another is just a... it... nope.
I get it though, developers can get a lot on their plates, but the game could have been a lot better especially since it uses the Frostbite engine.
If you're looking for a game to just drone off on then it could work, I mean these other reviewers seemed to have enjoyed it but there are better games to do that on.
