Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune for Wii Reviews by Gamers

Unfortunately, we rented this game. My 7 year old son was so excited to play this game, but that excitement soon diminished. Bad controls and a total lack of instructions on gamefly and the internet make this game poor. Stick with a clever game like Battalion Wars if you like this genre.

If playing with the Army Men plastic toys was this difficult, those green and tan figures would stay on the toy stores.
Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune has some of the least accurate guns I've ever seen. You're given cross hairs to help aim, but my shots went nowhere near where I place those cross hairs.
This makes long distance shots very difficult to pull off. It's frustrating to watch my shots zip harmlessly past the enemy, even when I had perfect aim on him. The AI, on the other hand, has little trouble picking me off from the other side of the playing field.
Shooing high in the air or down low to the ground was also troublesome; the gun jams for a few seconds.
The controls also lack; turning with the Thumb Stick was very slow and made me into a big target, which the computer pegged with ease.
The camera is okay, but it went crazy when I entered a tunnel or went up/down inclines.
I have a feeling that the makers of this game put these flaws in on purpose; the game's only got fifteen levels that could be completed in about two hours (if you can deal with the flawed controls and awful guns).
The graphics are okay, but the presentation isn't; I went from one level to the next with no cut scenes or any real sense that I've achieved something special.
Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune is a game to avoid.

This is a very poor game. All of the comments about this game is true. I had to see it for myself. It's all true. The game would be much better if they changed the movement of the charactor, added more ammo and health boxes after the first level. I had the game for a weekend and got tried of it after getting to the second level. Died too many times and got sick of it. I could not even give it a 3, it's that bad.
