Decent game, controls are not intuitive.

The game is pretty good. It's funny, action packed, etc. The graphics and story idea are great, but I just couldn't get past the control scheme. They did not use the standard action game setup, where the trigger fires the weapon, etc.
They use the "a" button to fire the weapon, the "y" button to jump, The left thumb stick controls the aim when using a weapon, and the triggers change the camera view.
It's practically backwards from most other games.
So when you get shot at and instinctively pull the trigger to fire back, the camera changes and you take damage. And while you're trying to aim with the right thumb stick like you do in most games, you move but your targeting reticule doesn't, and so you miss, even if you remembered to hit the "A" button to fire.
With practice I'm sure a person could easily learn this control layout. But the learning curve is a bit too steep for a rental game that you want a quick turnaround on.
