A Down grade

I have played all of the older armored cores except Nexus and to be completely honest i don't like this one. Its not terrible just nothing special either. The only really negative feature i found was the controls. Due to new mech features (two new parts- L & R hangar) the controls are not only a lot harder to use but cannot really be turned back to the classic. Like the L1 and R1 straddle is no longer possible. Good customization, but bad controls makes me give this one a 5/10. Sacrificing gameplay for new parts, not so hot a move.

A Dissapointment from the series

If I had to shorten this game in one phrase, it would be: Not Fun. In this game there are only arena matches and practice scenarios. HOWEVER, please do not rate Armored Core by this game, I recommend Armored Core 3. If you have any interest in Armored Core or wish to have interest, play Armored Core 3 and judge the series on that game

Armored Core Nine Breaker - Bad ju-ju for a RAVEN.

As a dedicated player to the armored core series I decided to give the ratings on Nine Breaker the benefit of the doubt.
Big mistake on my part.

Though the game may have dazzling graphics, and a better engine, the preset controlls are set to the upper region of the controller (L1,R1,L2,R2)and the thumbsticks. its fixable, but I like to play on default to feel out the game.

Like the review says this game HAS NO SOLID STORY LINE, although most of the armored core story lines were not the best, they were still good enough to give you a sense of what you where fighting for.

The weapons, although customizable, are annoying. Machine guns are not full auto, mostly semi. this not only creates a gap between intervals, it gives the enemy a chance to dish out 2 heaping scoops of whoop arse on ya. I dun know about you guys, but my favorite tactic is to go in fast and blanket the enemy in heavy fire at high speeds.
the game makes it hard to do anything fun, especially when the boosters over heat...

on the positive side, if you want to bring a friend in on the armored core series, this game is a good place to start, especially if they've never seen nor played an armored core game before.

In conclusion, good for beginners, so-so for your average player, bad ju-ju for devoted RAVENS.
