Good, but could be better.

Being an avid fan of the Armored Core series, I was excited about a two disc game loaded with unlockable parts and varying game play. While they expanded on the missions on the Evolution disc, they cut back greatly on the arena aspect of Armored Core. In previous Armored Core games you could enter the arena with a mech you had created at any time, and advance as high as you could until you needed new parts or a new design. Now the Arena is invite-only and very limited. Game play stays very much the same from previous games with the exception of using the right thumb stick to look up and down as opposed to the L and R buttons which is a huge improvement.
The Revolution disc features previous missions from some of the first Armored Core games re-vamped and graded on a scale of E-S depending on your performance. Performing well earns you new posters, soundtracks, illustrations, movies, and of course, parts. Unless you've played the previous games, it is a little hard to get into the bonus missions.
Overall, I found the multiplayer mode improved, mission mode more in-depth and diverse, and part selection greater. But Arena mode still remains a disappointment, and the game gets dull after a while. This is definitely a game worth playing for fans and newcomers alike.
