When i rented this game i expected 1 thing, to be able to beat the bolts out of some awesome robots, and boy, did they deliver! Players get the chance to fully customize their own robots, creating their own strategy in the process. I have noticed that it was easy in the beggining, but i got stuck in a few days, the robots get harder and stronger, so unless you think you are the game king, think before you rent this game, but if you do, you shall still be highly rewarded!

A short review to explain what is new.

What's new:
1) You no longer have to buy parts. EVERY part is open for use.
2) You can make 5 mechs at once.(as opposed to 3)
3) The game focuses on arena, no campaign mode.
4) You can choose AI (editable) to play for you in battle.
So as you can see there are a few new things.

Explanation of "What's New"
1) When you change your starting mech you have every part open to you. You no longer have to get money from missions and then buy your parts just to sell them later. You get to craft your mech to perfection.
2) Your team consists of 5 mechs that you edit individually. It is pretty cool because then you can make diverse mechs. Use one for a different type of enemy you face and another for another type.
3) There is no longer any campaign mode. You get story through a mail system. And the story is mostly stats of different teams and how they do in battles. The game focuses solely on arena battles.
4) One of the coolest new features is you can get the AI to fight for you. So if you cant seem to beat a mech, but in terms of stats you should be able to own him just throw on the AI and let it own him. You can also edit the AI to be able to handle different situations. You can change if it should stick to more of one weapon or change a lot. It is hard to explain, but there is a video that explains it quite well.

Graphics, Gameplay and etc.
The graphics are about the same. Nothing new, nothing old. Although, there are no more beautiful cut scene graphics. For example in AC3 the opening scene had amazing graphics. Some of the best on the PS2. But this has none of those show stopping graphics. But they are still good. The gameplay is fast and fun. Just as good. Almost easier, because it keeps the height of your reticule with him. So if he jumps, the reticule will move with him.

Final Thoughts
This is a great game for fans. It has what made the series great and some new things to make it hot and fresh.

Sincerely,
~samcar455~

it was fun and enjoyable but the thing is. some parts were way to easy and way to ahrd.. i wish they would ahve ballanced it out a bit.. and insteadof just giving the parts you can use you should earn them.. thats all i relay have to say.
