if your someone who pays attention to details and takes time to do things right, then this is a wonderful game for you. however. if ur someone who just throws a bunch of stuff together, thinking that everything is gonna fall into place then ur gonna have a hard time.
basiclly, u gotta be smart about what u do in this game in order for u to get the most out of it.
I got into AC on the first game when it was released, and have played every one since. It was great, new, inventive, a really fun game. Over the course of the series (what is this the 5th? 6th?) the game has failed to change and it is now a boring and dull revamp of the same game. The graphics are surely better, but graphics can not carry a game, I certainly wouldn't play a game about filing TPS reports just because the graphics were super life-like.
Instead of moving the storyline more to the forefront while keeping the best parts of the mission based choice trees, they have stuck with the same boring mission selection from a list, play it, beat it, get paid....yawn. The cut scenes are gorgeous but offer only a brief glimpse into the actual story. If they had used Ace Combat 6 as a rough guideline, expanding the missions to allow for a few choices all within the greater story (much like a real war has many fronts) they might have made something playable. Instead, we get a whitewashed version of every AC game before it.
