i can not stress enough, don't bother with this game. i have always been drawn to mech games but none have ever grabbed me with anything that seperated them from the next. i thought this would be it. like everyone else, i thought the opening scene was a pre-curser to the gameplay and i was excited, i should have listened to everyone else. the gameplay is nothing special and the graphics aren't even close to what the ps3 can do. too many monotinous levels, and a pretty weak plot line. overall, i have been dissappointed with the new ps3 games and this one follows suit. i stress this again: don't bother with this game.

Fair

I am a huge fan of Armored Core series and was extemely excited to see this was available, put it in the top of my queue a month after PS3 was released...

Then I got the game, much like other reviews, the opening movie was great, then the game...I had a hard time building my mech from blueprints the whole game, you have to go through a full save process if you want to edit the default blueprints, the controls are confusing and gameplay not as smooth as the other games in this series....

I did play past the first mission in hopes of getting better as the game went on, but sadly I stopped halfway through and shipped it back.

Weak

So I was pretty excited to play this game after the opening scene. It looked really amazing. Then I played the first mission. It was incredibly boring and the graphics looked like I was playing on a PS2. The missions were not challenging at all. I have come to the conclusion that sega cannot produce a good game anymore. I give Armored Core 4 a big thumbs down. Still waiting on a decent title for the PS3. So far RFOM is the only one. I'm starting to regret buying PS3. If only GTA IV came out this month, and not in October...
