Yeah this game sucks. Fuzzy texturing, small maps. Anybody who has played BF2 knows what the 360 can pull off map and graphic wize . This game is an insult to the 360 and its capabilities. I really couldnt get over how fuzzy the game was... anyone who has an HDTV must of laughed really hard like I did. What can you expect when they are crapping out games to try and keep people busy. You honestly only get a couple or few great games each year.. their expensive, and take alot of planning. I like mech games, I've been playing mech games since I was 9 years old on my dads PC. This is not a mech game, its a methed out japanese seizure fest.
As a fan of military shooters and stealth action this game is designed to be way too fast and twitchy for my taste. There is no way to aim, let alone develop any other strategies than fly in fast and try to blow everything up as fast as possible without thinking. You can spend hours customizing your mech that looks great in the garage, and have zero chance to see it in action during the game. The controls are all about boosting around like a hornet hopped up on caffeine and hoping you get an auto lock, which is almost never on what you want it to be on. I'm sure there are fans of this genre, but for the majority of casual gamers: don't be reeled in by the shiny robots. It's not anywhere near as fun as it seems like it should be.
I put this game into my Xbox 360 last night and a system message came on screen telling me that I needed to download an upgrad otherwise I wouldn't be able to play the game. The system is not on-line, so I was unable to retrieve the upgrade. The disc went back in the mailer and back to Gamefly. I was unaware that certain games required upgrades to play...Is this another Microsoft sham?
