Archer Maclean's Mercury for PSP Reviews by Gamers

i really liked this game, great levels, some were pretty complicated and some were straight out fun, the challenge is there especially for people that like beating the high score and getting it perfect to the 10th of a second, which this game works great on since each level technically takes less than a minute to beat but there are shortcuts and right and wrong ways to do things, it really gets addictive, but not to the point you will always wish you were playing it instead of doing what you are doing.

overall its not totally great but its above average enough that i could see half the people who rent it wanting to buy it just cause its the kind of game you can break out even if you only have 15 minutes to play and its fun cause you can pick any level after you beat it.

The second I heard about an innovative puzzle game utilizing little "mercury" color blobs to solve riddles, I knew I was going to be hooked. This game is awesome - the first puzzle game to hook me for a LONG time. The music is great and fits perfect for the elemental, modern look. the graphics are top-notch, epecially the mercury graphics -- amazing. Not only that, but I must say, this game uses the largest variety of colors ever seen! It is all pure eye candy! The game mainly controls and acts a little like Super Monkey Ball. You tilt the world in whatever direction you want this shiny blob to move. The blob breaks, falls apart, and can join in order to solve some really complex puzzles. The puzzles involve taking your mercury from point A to point B (most of the time). Sometimes, though, you find yourself having to take the blob from point L to point B, back to point G, then point Z, and back all the way to point A just to complete the mission. You will also find yourself in a puzzle consisting of combining different color blobs, just to make other colors in order to progress with the stage [pure genious]. Though this game is addictive and fun, it can get difficult. I have seen my girlfriend on the verge of throwing the PSP a few times. Other than that, I recommend buying this game... after completing all the stages, I find myself going back for more just to polish my skills and set higher points for the stages. It's a game I highly recommend. 9 of 10.
