2 out of 2 gamers (100%) found this review helpful

1. I love that when you start out, they don't tell you anything. You just have to figure everything out on your own. I love that because I'm a big challenge freak!

2. I love the style of the battles.

3. I love the characters and how they are so different from each other but they are all good fighters.

4. I love the story line.

To sum it up, this is an excellent game. Very addictive and I recommend it to anyone who likes RPGs.

If you are a fan of Arc the Lad, stop here. Arc is not in the game and is only mentioned in passing late in the game to try to 'tie' things together.

The game has only a few things going for it, the story, the easy to learn controls and interesting conept of twin brothers seperated at birth (its not original but its done well).

The game certianly could have polished its looks up a bit, it really comes of as a game that would have been a first or second gen PS2 game many years ago. The few parts that are voice acted are subpar and whiny. Moving about is a little clunky as the diagonal set of most areas really doesnt mesh well with the diagonal set of the movement... its off by a few degrees. Finally, the music is subpar...

Despite all that I do have to say I enjoyed the game because of Darc, he really saves the game. I could have done without arguing of characters the entire game but it at least holds to the plot and doesnt get all fluffy for no apparent reason.

Worth a rent if you like the Arc the Lad series and dont mind him NOT making an apperance... though most folks will probably tune out the game after a few hours and send it back.
