2 out of 2 gamers (100%) found this review helpful

1. I love that when you start out, they don't tell you anything. You just have to figure everything out on your own. I love that because I'm a big challenge freak!

2. I love the style of the battles.

3. I love the characters and how they are so different from each other but they are all good fighters.

4. I love the story line.

To sum it up, this is an excellent game. Very addictive and I recommend it to anyone who likes RPGs.

Where to begin? First let's start with the story. The storyline for this game is very good. Add to the fact you play as two brothers switching control from chapter to chapter, which keeps the gameplay very crisp. The battle system is superb as well. You fight in a turn based system, where the terrain, attacking from behind, all can provide you with advantages. This game however is not for those who like to micromanage. Instead of buying weapons, you can customize the only weapon you will get with 3 different weapons parts. Skills are the same. You accumalate SP each battle which you can use to unlock character skills and magic. Again though there's not much customization between characters in that aspect. Unfortunately this game does have it's flaws. The graphics remind me of an early PS2 game instead of one released in PS2's prime. The audio falls short as well. Luckily enough the most irritating is the battle voices which you have the option to turn off! That cures most of the woes with the audio. The cgi's are average and I found nothing that left me in awe. The best part in my opinion is the random encounters. you can flee 95% of them if you so choose. You move from point to point on the map (thank god for not having to run from town to town) automatically, random battles can occur during that process but as you can skip them if you like the game can move rather quickly and keep you engaged in the actual story (which as stated earlier is very good)

All in all, while this game isn't inspiring graphics or audio wise, the gameplay and the storyline make it worth checking out. The simplicity of it can be very refreshing, and it's definately worth renting. That being said it is not a game I would go out and buy, and I found it to have no real replayability. I was definately glad I picked this title up and played though.

OK, this is a pretty standard RPG. A group a strangers band together to save the world etc..... This game has a nice fighting system which u can move around but not like a strategy more free roam than that. It's still turn based. Although you switch between 2 characters for most of the game which is nice so that your not using the same people and spells in battle a couple of thousand times. All in all this game delivers a bit more than the standard RPG. I know what i said above but don't correct me when i'm typing. Rent it, or buy it but don't conplain to me about wasting your precious time:-P
