Anime fan or not, I highly recommend Appleseed

I didn't see the original, so I had no preconceptions and I found Appleseed to be one of the best anime movies I've seen in quite a while.
The voice acting was better than most and the dialog usually made sense (which isn't always the case with a dubbed film).
In particular, the story was easy to follow (unlike the utterly impenetrable plot of the GUNDAM movie I watched just before this one!).
Terrific job with the CGI. Loved the overall atmosphere and tone set by the art design.
Highly recommended!
