Apache Air Assault for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

I will say this is different from most of the other Xbox 360 fodder out there. I don't think I've played a helicopter sim on any Xbox previously so kudos for being different.

Overall the difficulty of this game ramps up really quickly even on the easiest mode. By the last 3 missions of the game you will be pulling your hair out in frustration as you replay mission again and again trying to finish the game. Very much like the Blazing Angels series, but in helicopters. After two solid nights of play, I gave up on this game. Maybe it was a bit too realistic to be fun.

Online Coop is dead so don't plan on getting a good crew of 4 together to try to get through the Spec Ops missions. I guess most people feel this game is a quick rental for some quick points and don't want to bother with the online and coop missions.

I knock this game for the controls. Its basically a flight sim. game trying to translate that into a xbox controller lay out. I for one feel it doesn't translate at all sure you can play the game with a standard controller but its an anyoing process to say the least. The graphics, game play and sound are not good enough to put up with the frustration of dealing with the complex controls.
