Without the manual you have to guess or go online to figure out the buttons' purpose. There is no tutorial of any sorts or clue of what to do next. There's no map feature and the first area has everything looking similiar. There is no penalty for mistakes. They put you right back where you were with full health again and no loss of items. Once you figure out the "secret" to killing your enemies they're really a big joke. You have to be sentimental to enjoy the game. The game difficulty makes it seem like the target age was toddler to at most 8 years old. They won't know the characters, but maybe with sentimental mom, dad or other adult joining in it'll be a hit. GameFAQS had the most helpful FAQ/ Walkthrough. You'll need one.
