Fair

A costly, yet less thrilling version

Angry Birds is the phenomenon that brought gaming over to the IPad and other tablets. For just a few dollars, players could take controls of a bunch of angry birds out to get revenge on green pigs for stealing their eggs.
The task is simple. The pigs build some sort of structure and take up residence in that structure. But you fire off birds to destroy the structure and kill off every pig inside.
The WiiU version has Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio and Angry Birds Seasons. There’s a lot of content to be had in the game. Playing the game on the WiiU is very much like playing it on the tablets – except you have to use the Game Pad to launch the birds – something that may take a little time to get used to.
BUT I have an issue about the cost of the WiiU version of this game. You can get the tablet versions of the three games for a total of - $15.
I know, there 19 more levels (out of 972) that this version has that the tablet version doesn’t have.
But if the game makers could, they probably make a separate game consisting of those 19 levels and let you download them on the tablet for at most a dollar.
So this game costs $16 on the tablets, but we’re paying $50 for the WiiU version? That’s way too much – I would rather see a $20 price tag on this game (and hope that this doesn’t happen in Angry Birds Star Wars coming out later this year).
And what’s even worse is that camera controls on the WiiU are unsteady at best and annoying at worse. Far too often it would jerk back between the launcher and the pig structure. I just wanted both on screen at the same time.
Angry Birds Trilogy on the WiiU is too exorbitant, and it’s not as good as the tablet version. SKIP IT.
