A perfect family's dreams of a perfect life in a perfect house go terribly awry in this update of the 1979 haunted house horror classic. George (Ryan Reynolds) and Kathy Lutz (Melissa George), along with their three children, move into a new home in a quiet town. They don't know that their house comes with a secret. A year before, a 23-year-old murdered his sleeping family, claiming voices told him to do it. It doesn't take long before the house's horrors stir to life, as the Lutz's begin hearing ghostly voices and seeing ghastly images. The demonic forces threaten to take hold of George. The family has to escape before the house engulfs them in this harrowing tale that grows darker when you realize that it was inspired by a true story.
