This game is ok. I mean there are the judges, sounds like the same voices from the real judges. Maybe it is. Yeah. It Is. They have challanges. You can have practices where your character sings in you're room, or on stage. Its pretty cute i guess. But after a while it's kindof boring. If you like to just match the button you see on screen as they come along to the middle of the screen. If you miss a button or press the wrong button they screw up a note as they sing. The judges even gives you their review after you sing the whole song. On practice you choose the song you want to sing. But story mode, you'r character sings what they giv em. I think you can choose in 10 songs or more. No, you dont hav ta really sing. your character does. But if you want to sing to and make a fool of yourself, i dont care. lol. they even hav the lyrics on the bottom of the screen. U dont fight, or anything like that. Its just simple and actualloy fun. And alittle humor.

This game is really boring. The songs never change, it's not challenging at all. Might be fun for an 8 year old who's really into Idol.

American Idol is fun for awhile, maybe if the instruction book came with, it would be a little easier to understand certain areas of the game.
The object of the game is a little more than hitting the right button at the right time.
First you choose your character, then you have a series of outfits to dress your character in. You can change the color of the outfit, shoes, hair, etc. You can also change the hair color, and give headgear to your character as an accessory.
Next you pick a song to perform, this is where you basically hit a button at the right time. Sometimes two come at the same time and I never figured out how to get both of them. This is where a manual would have come in handy.
After the song is preformed, Randy, Simon, and Paula "grade" your preformance.
Then "America" votes to see if you move on. They will grade your preformance, along with your appearace, and show who had what percentage of votes.
Every stage you pass unlocks a bonus stage, or costume. And I believe there were 8 stages.
Of course there is an option to play the game on easy, medium, hard, or expert.
In my opinion this is agood game for pre-teens, but the intrest in the game will not last very long.
