This game should be left "Alone in the Dark"

Strange things are going on about New York, and it's up to you to get to the bottom of the mystery.
But the Wii version of Alone in the Dark has obstacles that hinder your journey; not the zombies or monsters that try to kill you, but flaws in the game that make playing it annoying.
First, the camera jerks about too much, even when my character has both feet firmly on the ground and I gently wave the Wiimote about.
Second, there are diving sequences that are some of the worst I've seen. The controls are just too loose.
Then, there's the part where you use a forklift. First, you move some blocks out of your way (not hard), then you drive down a debris filled track. But for some reason when you get on the track, the forklift accelerates to a fast speed and the brakes fail, causing many bumps against obstacles. After hitting only a few obstacles without actually crashing, I died (Why? I have no idea), and have to start the sequence over again.
Than, there's the dumbed down item selection. The game decides which items you can use and when you can use them. In one area I face an zombie, but couldn't draw out my gun because the game wouldn't let me - it only offers me a flashlight and a lighter. Meanwhile that zombie is beating me to death.
Finally, prompts that tell you which items you can pick up or where you can shimmy sometimes don't appear on the screen, and I'm left blindly wandering about, pushing all the buttons on the Wiimote.
It's too bad the game has these flaws - it looks great and has music to match the graphics. And you can skip parts that you get stuck on, but you can't save the game unless you start it from the beginning.
Alone in the Dark looks good, sounds good, but its many flaws ruin it.
