I didn't believe the hype or negative reviews and had to see A:CM for myself.
I've played probably every Aliens game that has come out in the past 3 decades (I'm 30 years old, I've been around the gamer block a few times). Even if you are a big Aliens fan like myself and WANTED this game to be good, there is nothing remotely good about A:CM.
I know what you are thinking "It can't be that bad"... because that's what I thought. My expectations were low to begin when I rented it. I have to say, every bad review is absolutely true... and anyone telling you otherwise is either blinded by their love for Aliens OR they haven't played it yet. I won't go into specific details about why it's awful, because frankly the game just fails in every possible category.
If that doesn't dissuade you... you might also note that Timegate (co-developer) is filing for bankruptcy after helping make this game. That speaks volumes for the quality you can expect.
Don't rent it... don't buy it. Just don't. Forget this game ever existed.

I got this game and started playing it at 6:00 i hated it for its bad graphics, no story, strange enemies (hired mercs), and poor configuration of the Aliens, i feel as if they have made this game with the intention to aggrivate anyone who likes and wants a true alien game. It is no wonder why it is already only ten dollars!! It is six thirty and i already have it rapped up in the mail box hopping its gone tomoro, the sooner the better!

I have rented dozens of games from GameFly but have never written a review. This game was so bad that I had to write one to stop others from playing it. I heard the game was bad but wanted to see it for myself. I got through 5 minutes before I had to just stop playing. The graphics are laughable and the dialogue is painful. I had to do a lot of slow walking so the main character could listen to mindless banter on his headset. Often I had to just wait around for the dialogue to finish. I don't know why the tutorial made me want to bang my head against a wall because they are common in FPS, but this one seemed never ending. Probably because of the random dialogue during which you were not allowed to do anything. This was just the first 5 minutes. I got so frustrated and bored that I just took the game out and resealed it to mail back. I never even saw an alien in the time I played. Spare yourself the misery and rent something else. I've played games on my phone that were better than this.
