For the first act or so, Alice: Madness Returns feels like a decent generic N64-styled platformer with an interesting gothic veneer. Although it doesn't take long to realize how hollow this game is. The platforming, the actual hopping and environment navigation, the character (Alice herself) is endowed with a ridiculous jump that can glide to great lengths that reduce any actual challenge.
Challenge in general is lacking because Alice's weapons are too over-powered and the enemies are too weak and attack with simplistic, predictable A.I.
The game's stylistic charm also quickly diminishes as well, especially during the second act which strays from the Alice and Wonderland mythology and adds its own original characters that just cannot compete with the Carroll's inventions.
A terrible game that EA was wise not to humor for further installments.
Its ok the graphics could of been better and the story line sucks I wish there was more of a point i know its alice in wonderland so there is no point needed but still idk........ i just feel like its missing omsething and something BIG
