This game looks great and is fun for a while, but the reason i am giving it a low score is because of it isn't anything to special. The cons of the game are that it has installation. I know allot of PS3 games do but that's because they are to help the game load faster and run more efficient, but this game when you save (auto save the first time also) it takes for ever. Another con is that you die just by an animal screeching at you. Even a MeerKat can kill you if you get to close. Also the lack of voice actors, it wouldn't have killed them to add some voices, it gets really annoying reading allot of text with their mouth moving and no sound coming out. The driving gets really boring after a while also. Some pros are the graphics, and how the animals feel alive. But overall i did not have much fun with this
I just can't seem to understand why some people are giving this game such a low rating! Nowadays it seems like the only games that appeal to most people are shooter games like Call of Duty. This game is so much better than those. It has stellar graphics and it has a steady pace! When playing this game I often found myself yearning to unlock new areas of Afrika to explore! There are many animals from birds to water buffalo! This is an outstanding game that I would reccomend to just about everyone looking for a relaxing and rewarding game!
I will start off by saying that my wife is not a video game player (I think Pong on Atari would give her a run for her money) but she wanted a game that would be interseting to her. I chose Afrika and it has been wonderful. The missions, purchasing gear, and submitting photos is just enough to keep someone interested in a photography game. Although the graphics are not the best and the game play is not set up as well as many other games, for my wife, it was exactly what she was looking for. I would not recommend for any serious gamer, but if you are new to the video game world and have an interest in nature/animals then this game is for you.
