Which makes it probably the highest quality NAMCO game I've played in a long, LONG time. Not that it's high quality compared to... anything else... but it's still pretty cool. The controls are wonky, sure, but the graphics are awesome. And the explosions and oil spraying all over the windscreen are sweet. Just not polished enough, really. So maybe avoid this title, and get something you know is a good flight sim.
First of all,i am a huge ace combat fan going back to the ps1.Still my favorite fighter jet game is ace combat 4 the unsung war, which i thought was the best fighter jet game ever.and this game well very disapointing, the only good thing's about this game is the graphics and the story line everything else just is so......arcade like!handle the plane is just boreing, get some easy trophies which is why i'm still playing, but other than that one of the most disaponiting games that i had been looking forward to playing yet.

Not a bad game and looks really sharp. But, seems the dogfighting system requires you enter the close up dogfighting mode. While cool at times it drags on and detracts from the feeling of actually dogfighting in a way. The previous Ace Combats had a better feel and no special mode required for dogfighting. Seems Assault Horizon gave up that core system in favor of this new approach. I must admit I like the mix up between helicopters, AC-130 and fighter jets. Overall I really enjoyed this new Ace Combat and especially the team multiplayer but, at the same time it got a little old and lost a little of it's soul along the way.
