When I was playing Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, I noticed something- this was not Assault Horizon. Instead of a handheld version of Assault Horizon, it was a total remake of Ace Combat 2, a game that really revolutionized the Air Force world. See, it follows the story of a hotshot pilot, vous (you), and your choice of wingman a. Slash or b.Edge. You go through many missions, like escort, rescue and defense, and though it's basically Ace Combat 2, it has some gameplay of Assault Horizon, like dogfight mode. You click both the shoulder buttons when behing an enemy fighter, and you shoot away at your bait. You may also evade if the jet engages you. The gyro controls are enabled in this game, like MetalStorm on the iPad, and they're very fun to use if you like the iPad/phone/pod apps for jets. Speaking of jets, the models range from an F4E to an SU-27 to an F22 Raptor, each varying in performance greatly. It's not like Call of Duty where all the guns are approximentally the same. It's like major differences in speed, defense and power. Now while the controls, story and graphics are amazing, it got a nine. You know why?
...No. Multiplayer.
Minds blown, you're welcome. No form of multiplayer at all. None. Do you know how amazing it would've been if it HAD multiplayer? Online: Dogfights, races, fort defense. It could've had it all. Other than any of that, this game is a definite rent, and a buy if you like it enough.
