It's really getting annoying how game makers claim to have a huge choice of tracks for a racing game, but when you get the game, about 80-90% of the tracks are locked and the only way to unlock the tracks is to beat the computer in some sort of tournament mode.
This is the case for ATV Quad Kings, where they promise up to 18 tracks, but to unlock 14 of them for single player or multiplayer mode, you have to go through the world tour and win all four trophies.
Why? Why? Why? If a player buys the game, that player should have a reasonable shot at playing all the tracks the game has to offer without having to jump through hoops.
The graphics here are bland and basic; they're not going to encourage me to put in a lot of tiime in unlocking those tracks.
Adding to the agony is the ease on which your driver falls off the vehicle, meaning a reset. Even when I hit the jump right or roll over the obstacle the right way, my driver crashed far too often.
In one race, I crashed once, resert, got run over by the AI, which caused me to crash and reset again only to be hit a second time by an AI driver and reset a third time. This caused me to lose the race.
The game also offers a Free Style mode where you perform tricks, but there's no in game instructions on how to perform those tricks, so that's almost a total loss.
ATV Quad Kings is an example on how not to make racing games for the Wii: Massive amounts of locked material, faulty gameplay and basic grapics. SKIP IT.
