people can try to tell you this game isnt just like Zelda but in fact Ubisoft stole elements from all the Zelda games and lazily mashed them together
practically everything about this game is stolen. from the story's opening - find six sages in their temples and acquire their magical artifacts to help defeat a great evil (Ocarina of Time anyone?) to the map (which was copied almost exactly from a Link to the Past) to the monsters (jumping spiders, spear chucking orcs, skeletons rushing you with swords) to the items (which do the exact same things they do in the Zelda Games) to the dungeons (which look and feel like the NES Zelda) and even the menu/HUD. oh and
other similarities:
you get your own personal fairy to guide you and give you hints.
"fairy ponds" that heal you to full health.
"heart containers" which the producers have not so cleverly changed to look like apple do the EXACT same thing they do in Zelda TO THE LETTER.
"shifting" from one section of the map to another looks exactly like the NES game or a Link to the Past.
the sound the game makes when you get a key item or find a "secret" is only the slightest bit different (if at all)
I only played for a few hours and completed 3 of the 6 temples but in that time i didnt find a single thing that was more than cosmetically different from Zelda and there no way you can deny that. anyone who tries has obviously never played any Zelda game and thats a fact. ive played ever Zelda from the first one on the NES to Twilight Princess minus the NDS titles and i am APPALLED that this game isnt a Copyright violation (and it would very easily be if Copyright laws were more than just a joke)
as enraged as i was that Ubisoft ripped off one of my favorite game series ever i did like the 3D physics, block construction graphics, and the water
if you love Zelda like i do you'll probably hate this game but if you just like Zelda and wish you had more of it play this you wont be able to tell the difference -
