I think the word "Cheap" best describes this game. Feels like somethign you would download off Xbox live. I found the controls to be clunky and the gameplay to be boring and I love all the old Zelda games (and new ones).
Might be worth a rent to some, but I didn't care for it. This game should be on Xbox Live/PSN for abotu $15 digital download.

I came into this game expecting some reworked 8-bit era game-play, but what I got was basically just Zelda rehashed yet again. The content is entertaining and unique, but there is nothing new about the experience of completing 6 dungeons using the same cool toys we all came to love in Zelda. If you don't think that any of the previous 13 Zelda games that Nintendo officially released was enough to fill your Zelda appetite, then this is the game for you.
3D Dot Heroes is basically the NES Legend of Zelda, but instead of a spritely elf, you can choose to play as everyone from a kunoichi to a dragon to Santa Claus, which makes the game a lot better. Well, and it's in 3D and has the advantages of being on a Blu Ray. But it plays exactly like the NES Legend of Zelda. Despite having a very unique look and hitting some very fond nostalgic notes, it lost its charm for me fairly quickly once I ran in to one of the things that annoyed me about the old Zelda games (well, and I had to send it back to have a shot at getting Super Mario Galaxy 2). Then again, I'm not that in to Zelda. If you are, then your mileage will surely vary.
