I have read many reviews for 24:The game. Between magazines and online Video Game websites, on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best, most places gave 24:The Game, an average of 6 or 7. I can only partially agree with that score. There are both Pros and Cons to the game.
First the Pros. For any HUGE "24" fan, this game is a must! It explains a lot that happened between seasons 2 and 3 of the TV series. The game certainly isn't slow or boring in any way. There are plenty of missions, somewhere around 100 of them. And the variety of missions makes going through the game entertaining. Some of them are very simple, like trying to figure out a code on a keypad, clicking in sync with colored blocks to clean a computer hard drive before it erases, using a computer to download satelite images to find snipers on rooftops, or timing button presses to change stress levels on people you are trying to interrogate. But even those make the game fun. You feel like you are in the "24" TV show, trying to get important information any way possible. As interesting as those simple missions are, they don't make up the majority of the game. You'll find yourself doing the usual Run and Gun, Stealth, Sniping, and Driving missions as well. You'll also play as several of the "24" TV series characters throughout the game. Variety is the spice of life, and this game has it in spades! The game doesn't ramp up the difficulty too much, so you'll breeze through it fairly quickly. The graphics are up to par, but some of the character movement is a little blocky at times. The story scenes are fun to watch, and are presented just like the TV show, with split screens and ticking clocks. The story is original, well written, and follows the "24" TV series mythos to a "T". You'll want to get through this game as soon as possible to find out what happens next, it's just that good! The voice acting is done very well. Every character from the TV show does their own voice-work for the in-game character
