To start things off, I am not much of a soccer player. The sport does not really interest me. But when I saw that it was one of the few 360 games available to rent, I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the game play. The controls were easy to pick up, yet took some skill to master. In looking at the graphics, I do not have much to say. Yes, the 360 does have better graphics capability than the older systems, but that shouldn't matter much in this game. I could care less if the graphics were flawlessly realistic if the game play was poor.
The one aspect of the game that I enjoyed was the global challenges. Some were rather easy to complete, but others were nearly impossible (that stupid 'Aussie Rules' took me like four hours). There could have been more thought put into the achievements; 500 of them were really easy to get, but the 500 for completing all of the challenges was really difficult. Sometimes I was so frustrated that I nearly broke my controller throwing it across the room. Overall, it was a nice effort put out by EA. I have yet to play the other soccer games for the 360, but if they are on the same level as this game I will probably enjoy them.
