"G" movies (General Audiences) may be suitable for all ages. "G" movies contain nothing in theme, language, nudity and sex, violence, etc. that would, in the view of the MPAA Rating Board, be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film.
"PG" movies (Parental Guidance Suggested) contain some material that may not be suitable for children. "PG" movies may include more mature themes, some profanity, some violence or brief nudity, but no drug use content.
"PG-13" movies (Parents Strongly Cautioned) contain some material that may be inappropriate for children under 13. A "PG-13" movie goes beyond the boundaries of the "PG" rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, or other contents.
"R" movies (Restricted) require an accompanying parent or adult guardian at the theatre for persons under 17. "R" movies contain some adult material, and may include strong language, violence, nudity, drug abuse, and/or other adult elements.
"Not Rated" movies have not been rated by the MPAA and may contain mature content.
"Unrated" movies have not been rated by the MPAA and may contain mature content.
