Look.
I like- I LOVE puzzle games!
I am, to puzzle games, what "hardcore" players are to FPs or RPGs....
So, needless to say that I am entirely lost here as to why it is that everyone's completely jazzing about Goo....
Yes- Yes, it's a puzzle- you either know what to do our you don't BUT- and here's my problem.....
With ANY good puzzle game, eventually, you have to get offf of your duff and start "researching" that level- not a bad- nor a gripe- BUT... eventually, once you figure it out YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO GET PAST IT!!!!
So. Let me explain this one:
See, there's this llevel "Ready for My Close Up" which SHOULD be called- "Ready for my bug alert!"
(SO not KOSHER!!!!!!)
The WAY you're supposed to be able to get thought this level?
By relying upon a BUG in the game in order to move those "goo-guys" around a barrier that spans the entire screen!
This, of course, ALSO means that any attempt to actually make the few goo- guys you get over that barrier do anyhing (they're not suppposed to be there and the computer knows it) is entirely and completely MOOT- BECAUSE YOU CAN'T EVEN SELECT THEM!!!!
WHISKY.
TANGO.
FOXTROT.
?!!!!!!!
Look.
I REALISE that all of the "real games" are going to always be a bit better but- COME ON!!!!!!
A POS tossed to those few does NOT constitute a great game!!!!!!!
