Upon loading this game I looked for a menu to toggle various options. There was none. I looked over the Tutorial and familiar setups, resource screen, mini map, etc. Feeling it would be another fun strategy game experience I set out for a try.
Other than the buttons are clunky before the game really begins and virtually microbial during play, the world is almost totally imperceptible. I tried to grab the minimap trapazoid and move my view around this way (as in Blizzard games and turn based games before it), no dice. I try to jump my vantage by opening up the big map and clicking around, nothing. At some point I become annoyed and start pressing buttons and things that I think SHOULD, MAYBE, interact with me, the player, and am left limp and unsatisfied. I eventually get attacked but I don't know where, grow bored of the terrain and impossibility of trying to survey my lands. Yuck. My score is based, basically, on my inability to "play" the game and enjoy it whatsoever. I'd rather take a million turns of Civ 5 or build a mastaba in Pharaoh.
