Alright this predates even the twilght books but I started playing this again one becuase it finaly got carried over from the D2D merger, still waiting on a good 6 other good classics to trasnfer over, and two its got a rich story line. Its not the worlds most epic RPG its very dry at first, but its got a lot to offer, and as you get going you get caught up in the story during good chunks of it.
Of course I played Malkavian my first go, that alone gaurenties some laughs, and intrest. They are mad, but also have a creepy insight to things because of their warped minds. I love the fact that this game has diffrent lines meaning something more then what cool coven they hang out in. In fact I like the setting in this game better them most past and current vampire movies.
It gives a little something for every one since there are diffrent types of vampires to use. There broken up kind of like classes except they all have the same skill point sytem, your line just determines your 3 powers, and your starting traits. Of course there is a couple little things as well like how you are treated and dress, Malkavians as I mentioned before dress like there on drugs, and pretty much mental are on a permant drug trip. Most find the Malkavians speach and mandness a little off puting, some out right hate them. They also put in the nospherto type, where your gremlin looking, the old school feral vampire. With them you have to use stealth and creep around the sewer, and you are not welcome above ground for obvous reasons.
Over all thats the jist of it slow passed at first story, then it kind of hooks you if you got the right char build. Its not the worlds greatest, and not for every one, there was quite a few areas to creepy for my tastes, but over all your just creeping around the seedy parts of town at night.
