I love the Total War franchise and this game is worth every penny. To efficiently manage your clan's economy while defending (and expanding) your territory is truly challenging. The diplomacy aspect is a game in itself, and the capricious AI is enough to make one sympathize with the act of seppuku. Don't play it on a weeknight; you'll be late for work the next day guaranteed.

This game seriously takes the cake. It has gorgeous graphics and scenery and innovative strategy play. At first I bought this game not with high hopes but in the end I found it so addictive that I have logged over 300 hours on it. The history you can learn is great as well as the strategies you will need to conquer Japan. The game has online co-op play and avatar conquest. You have many hours of enjoyment in just this one game. Well worth the money.
