Story: 9 --- Though there are many interesting quests in Skyrim the main overarching story suffers for it. Still, the game is way longer than most of its ilk so it scores extra points for that. --- Visuals: 10 --- The default Skyrim is great and the modded Skyrim is absolutely breathtaking. --- Sound: 7 --- Skyrim has a pretty good range of very good music and most of the voice acting is pretty good. But there are only a half dozen actors and you will recognize them all immediately. --- Combat: 8 --- If you've played more than a few video games and don't hate FPS games, Skyrim plays very well. I wish other game makers could do this as well. That said, the enemy AI is stone stupid and easy to manipulate. Which is a big disappointment in a game like this. Even dragons quickly become easy to defeat. --- Fun Factor: 10 --- This is a very fun game. One of the most enjoyable RPG's since um Oblivion... --- Unmodded Overall: 8 --- This is my review of the unmodded version of Skyrim. The major points keeping it from being excellent are the VO and poor enemy AI. --- Modded overall: 10 --- Add in mods and you instantly turn every score up by at least one point. If you aren't modding Skyrim, you are missing out on one of the best RPG gaming experiences of all time. My suggestion, improve the AI, turn up the visual juice (if your PC can take it) download a new music pack and get a skill overhaul. If you do those things you will have an unparalleled gaming experience. --- Overall Overall: 9: -- In the end, making this game go from very good to amazing you have to mod it. So I choose the easy middle-ground. Though I really do need to reiterate that you should buy Skyrim and download some mods from the Skyrim Nexus site it for a 10 star gaming experience.

Ok, nothing is ever going to be perfect but Skyrim is prettty darn close to it. Runs awesomely, especially on the Xbox which was a slight surprise considering the history for bugs with Bethesda and consoles. Beautiful open world with sights and sounds that really pull you in.

WHY I LIKE THIS GAME SO MUCH? Well besides Fallout 3, it is the only game where I've logged over 100 hours enjoyably playing. I have 170+ with my first character and about 60+ with my second.

Pros: Awesome game, beautiful world.

Cons: Once you hit that 70+ hours, you kinda expect it to never end but when you've compleated almost every quest the game will leave you wanting MORE!!!! .....so its not really a bad thing.

Lasting Apeal: ummmm RPG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfection 10/10

this game is very fun to play and sometimes the glitches are good for you but most the time it just messes with your gameplay and ruins the game theres just so many glitches that its hard to play at times

If you played the ES predecessors you know what i mean when i say Bethesda has steadily made your characters less likely to become godlike/crazyMFNBA like less custo for spells and enchantings. This still can be achieved ofcourse through cheats or mods but i remember morrowind, without cheats just stacking, Commitng a massacre of a whole building with a single spell, or jumping from one end of the map to the other; leading to their cutting out athletics/speed VVTF!!! making a thief/assassin is now seriously downgraded, and making a Khajiit is absolutely pointless! as i loved leaping nimbly bimbly from rooftop to rooftop, and giving it hand to hand perk is insulting especially with the limited access to increasing that character type in skyrim. One more point is i miss Taunting! it was one of the best perks of speechcraft without it this character class also seems lacking. love the game but missing so much that could have blew people away,and they already had it in their arsenal tsk tsk.

Hello i've played video games when at the age of 5 and i know good games when i see one best game ever great graphics not a boring game you have millions of things to do in skyrim from quests to dragon hunting the fun never ends but to say the fighting in the game isnt the best its a weak fighting game at times plus the story is really good it does not get off task really easy one moment you might have to help somone then randomly kill a dragon thats not how it goes it stays on the task it sets plus 1 little thing can change the story overall i give this game a 9 good graphics lots of fun can never get boring weak fighting but every thing else rocks so have fun with the game i know i do

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the best games i've ever played i have played all the other elder scrolls games and it didn't come to shock when i played skyrim and loved it. If you've been thinking about playing this game then i would for sure because besthesda game studios has out done themselves this time!

This game truly marks a point in gaming that we all can say, WOW! While you fight Dragons, Necromancers, Giants and Wolfs you also find a meaningful story that grasps you with hundreds of hours of gameplay. If you have a beating heart then this is the game for you.

This is one of my all time favorite games. This is the latest of 5 games by Bethesda Softworks in a series. It uses basically the same game engine as Oblivion , Fallout 3 ,and Fallout NV.
It is supported just like the previously mentioned games by an official game Modification web site sponsored by Bethesda Softworks ,
" skyrim.nexusmods "
were you can download 1000's of Free modifications for this game made by other players. Nexus mods makes these games worth
double what they would be worth normally.

If you are on the fence about this game go to their web site and check out what other players are doing with this game.

Almost everything, within reason, in this game can be changed to your liking.

If you have a higher end computer and you like RPG's
This is the game for you.

If you have an average PC, you can turn down the graphic settings and the game is very stable, and still quite a lot of fun.

The only drawback to this game is that you need a " Steam " account to activate and launch this game.
Steam has its pros and cons. Steam does not cost anything to join and does not add to cost of the game.

If you buy this game you will not be disappointed.
This is one of those games that has people missing days from work and school.
Get this one and or Fallout 3.
Fallout 3 is my favorite RPG so far.

When it comes right down to it, I have made some awful purchases for my PC gaming in 2011. Skyrim made all of those bad decisions melt away.

You have to play this game to understand why everyone is so happy. But, there is one thing that the PC version holds over the console version, not graphics or frame rates, no no, the MODS!

Skyrim Nexus is what makes Skyrim on PC so wonderful. Newly designed weapons, clothing, facial renders, environment boosters, New homes, caves, and areas to explore. Better built maps and user interfaces. Class upgrades ranging from looks to new magic you can use. So many possibilities and new mods pop up everyday.

So, if you have the PC to run this amazing game, buy it! and then go directly to Skyrim Nexus and pick your favorite mods. Becareful and be patient though when choosing, some mod makers put out different versions of the mod to compensate for glitches or clashes with other mods. I recommend you install the Nexus Mod Manager and the SKSR loader so you can get the best visual experience, the rest is up to you.

Have fun with this game, it will last you for years on the PC. So glad I bought this for PC.

The only things I like about it is that you can become a werewolf and vampire. If you want the location and what to do to become one of them follow me and put a post on my wall.

I love the duel weild. Sword in one hand spell in the other. There is so much to do in the game. From cooking to alchemy, from stealing to murder its all fun. Bethesda did not let us down with this great game.
