How to fix problem yourself

6 out of 6 gamers (100%) found this review helpful

The user reviews talk about a problem with the game. The game asks you to insert dvd and won't let you continue past that point. Here is the fix:

1. Browse to the game installation folder. This can be, for example, C:\Program Files\Microids\Syberia - it really depends on where you had installed the game. Once you find it, open the folder.
2. Open the "Video" directory.
3. Right click > Create New Folder > Name it "AN" without the quotes.
4. There are three files: C2_hansannab.syb; C5_hansanna.syb; C10_hansanna.syb - highlight those three files and copy them (either by dragging them there while holding right mouse button and then clicking on copy, or by pressing Ctrl + C and then Ctrl + V once you are in the directory) into the newly created directory named AN

Got this info from Steam website.I hope it helps

POOOOP

This game is aweful. Waiting for the character to walk across the screen makes me want to stab myself in the eyes. A better mystery game with object combination puzzles is Return to Mysterious Island. Everyone with software problems count yourself lucky, you saved minutes of precious life that could have been used to make a BM.

Buggy, a bit slow, would be fun...

Although the game is a bit slow - with the need to walk everywhere, and if you miss something, walking back - it was fun to figure out what item(s) was needed to proceed. However, once obtaining a voice cylinder and trying to play it, the game just stops and suddenly requires a DVD. I noticed that someone posted a "self fix" which is great for those who do not mind this, but I would rather just play a game that doesn't need 're-foldering' to play. Cannot say it was great, but I can say it was fun until it became frustrating.
