Sword of the Stars Complete Collection for PC Reviews by Gamers

Miserable 1/10 review aside from someone thinking this game is something it's not...this game is solid fun. Deep, engaging, and rewarding if you can make it past the learning curve. Yes, getting a foot in the door can be a pain, but it's not impossible. It's also well worth the effort.

This is not StarCraft, Command & Conquer, or even Homeworld. Sword of the Stars falls into the realm of 4x strategy games like Civilization, Sins of a Solar Empire, or Master of Orion. Don't get me wrong, I love me some straight up RTS games; I'm just warning those looking for that experience. This game is far more massive in scale, and requires a lot more patience...and time.

This game I do admit has a lack of a very information filled tutorial but does help. The game is well built and the massive lenght and size of a game you can make is amazing. Graphics are okay and gameplay makes you feel like you are really starting your own civilization or species. But yes, very deep and takes work to understand. If you stay with this game you will be enjoying lenght-filled games and hopefully find a nice multiplayer match. Overall I say this game is at least worth a download if you are worried about it being boring.
