EA has become a huge joke in the industry. They put out half-finished, apparently untested games, have non-existant customer service, and seem to care about nothing but milking the cash-cow that is the Sims franchise. There are entire websites devoted to the glitches in Sims 3.
To Sim City in itself, I must say that the inability to even have an offline mode that I can mess around on is infuriating. When you buy an mmorpg, you expect to need to have internet to play with other people, but THIS IS A SIMULATOR! If I want to play on offline sandbox when I'm not around any wifi (or more to the point when their servers are unable to provide service, or when they eventually shut down the servers) I should be able to. I honestly believe they have no consideration for the customers they are supposed to be serving.
The game in itself is well put together for the most part. It is a good time-waster, but certainly not something I will ever have an addiction to, like I once did to the Sims.
EA needs to invest in some major PR rehab and start making an effort toward quality of their games, not quantity sold.
